Hon Ong or Whale Island is the name given to this beautiful small island. Located in Van Phong Bay, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province, about 100km from Nha Trang city, Hon Ong has an area of about 40.00ha, without people living. In which, about 2ha has been invested in the resort construction by a French couple, and this is also the only resort on the island, the rest of the island remains untouched and peaceful with its lush all year round.
II. How to get to Hon Ong?
From the mainland to the island takes about 15-20 minutes, before that you have to go by road to Dam Mon wharf. At the pier, there is a resort ship that takes you to the island for free. Here are 3 ways to get you to the pier:
1. By resort ride
You only need to contact the reception of the resort to hire a shuttle bus. The fee for the shuttle bus in Nha Trang city is 20USD / person. If you do not want to go to Nha Trang city, you can quote the bus to pick up directly at Cam Ranh airport to the pier, the ticket price is about 25USD / person.
